Awkward + Awesome v.1

Recently, I've been perusing the blogosphere even more than before. This time, focusing on real people's blogs and reading about their lives and adventures. Before, I was all about looking up wedding ideas, design inspiration, and just pretty pictures. Not to say that I don't do that now, because, let's be honest, they're awesome, but I just realized there's so many great blogs to read out there! I feel like such a stalker saying that, but whatever. I'm into it.

One of the ones I came across that I thought was awe-some is The Daybook. Sydney's take on life and the way she documents is fantastic. One of her features is this "Awkward + Awesome" idea where  you list where in the recent days you were awkward and awesome. Lord knows I'm enough awkward to do a full post on that, but I love the celebration of things that are awesome! Take a look and tell me it's not a great idea.

So here are my "Awkward + Awesome" moments from this past week!

The Awkward
  • Tripping in front of some maintenance workers this morning at work. Oh, wait, that was the 2nd time this week.
  • Getting caught by Scott after I stole a photo he took of me and using it on my Facebook profile.
  • The feeling I get after watching the Real Housewives of OC and Jerseylicious in one night. WASTED MY TIME BUT LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF DRAMA.
  • Ruining my freshly painted toenails while trying to apply shatter polish before they were dry! Oh that anticipation kills me!
  • Realizing that I need to remember my awkward moments instead of blocking them out.
  • The look Scott's going to give me when he walks in and sees me watching "America's Cutest Cat 2010."

The Awesome
  • Getting this bad boy in the mail today. I skipped going to the gym to make sure I was home when it arrived. I then preceded to go to the store, buy chocolate chips, and make 2 batches of cookies.
  • The warm weather started this week! I wish it would stay, but it's only getting hotter!
  • Being involved in a new ministry at our church. College age and in Bakersfield? Check out Anchor.
  • THE MASSAGE I have planned tomorrow at 5pm.
  • Having kids from youth group come to our house Saturday and help us plant our front yard full of shrubs.
  • Talking to Emilee ALL DAY about her wedding, dreams of our business, and life. I'm so excited for her!
  • AND talking to Ashley r-i-g-h-t now. She's making me laugh so hard.
Well there we go! I'll get better at it I promise!! :)

Cheers! Here's to a great Friday and fantastic weekend.
