This past weekend I was able to go visit my family. I hadn't been down there since a month and a half, so the trip was well deserved. Friday night we just hung out and chatted. My little sister went on a "date" that wasn't really a "date" but it was a date, so I had to rip her on and on about that. (He made her pay! What the heck!?)
Saturday, we just hung low. My "little" (he's at least a foot taller than me) brother, Shayne, came over and we looked through old photos and drank coffee. We drove out to Redlands to visit the most amazing store, Pad. All mid century style pieces, my little heart just couldn't handle it, I need all of it. I ended up buying a gold wall art piece and a gold pitcher. After I perused their offerings for far too long, Shayne and I drove back to Corona and had dinner with the parents. We went shopping after where I scored a deal on some more mid century style lanterns for my house.
I came home Sunday to a husband, puppy and kitty who were wanting my attention. So much so, said husband played golf all afternoon. I watched MORE Breaking Bad, my newest Netflix obsession. I went to yoga after that, and had a mini date night with the husband. We got some bad news after we got home, but thankfully everything turned out ok.
I enter this Monday with a thankful and grateful heart for the family I have and the people I know.
Next weekend should also be amazing... matching tattoos with the husband and hanging out in Santa Barbara/Ventura with friends.
By the way, THIS^ came in the mail. [explanation here] It's perfect and he loves it, I think.
